Alison Gold

Alison Leslie Gold is an American author. She has written numerous books but is probably best known for her research about the Holocaust and Anne Frank. She is the writer of the books Anne Frank Remembered: The Story of the Woman Who Helped Hide the Frank Family, which she wrote with Miep Gies, and Memories of Anne Frank: Reflections of a Childhood Friend, based on the memories of Anne Frank's childhood friend, Hanneli Goslar.

Gold was born and grew up in New York City. She was educated at the University of North Carolina, Mexico City College and the New School for Social Research in New York City.

Gold has written as a journalist, authored a number of non-fiction and fiction books, and writes for radio and television. She enjoys traveling and divides her time between Greece and New York City.
