Annette Thomas

Annette was born in 1970, when computer floppy discs were invented, bar codes were introduced, the first Earth Day was celebrated and 18 year olds were given the right to vote in federal elections. She spent her childhood in Texas, her adolescence in Tennessee and her young adulthood in Florida and Alabama. When asked where she is from, she is often quoted as saying, "I am a Southern Belle, but I don't jingle when I walk." Although Annette published her first poem at the age of 17, she has had a passion for learning, growing and poetry her whole life. Her life motto is "Live, Love, Laugh, and Learn." In her local community in Colorado (where she currently resides), she can often be found at a park, art gallery, museum, dinner theater, local cafe, or book store. Her favorite places, however, are in the beauty of nature by waterfalls, gurgling streams, ponds, lakes, and rivers. She is inspired by forests, mountains, blue skies, and gentle breezes.
