I'm a person who writes about what he knows and about what he doesn't know.

While currently happy and creative, I spent much of my life struggling with various forms of mental illness, including endogenous depression, OCD and bipolar disorder. So when I write about psychology and how we can free ourselves from mental suffering I'm writing from experience. For this more serious writing I use the name Joe Blow.

When it comes to my humorous erotica, I don't write from experience. It would be hard to find someone less experienced in the sexual arena than myself, but how many science fiction writers have actually been to Mars? My specialty here is smutty genre parodies with an anarchistic slant in that authority figures (usually male) come a cropper when they come up against sexually uninhibited and spirited rebels (usually female). Oh, and there are usually some really bad puns.

I'm also a movie fanatic with a love of all genres and eras of cinema, and that of most nationalities... though I'm yet to be convinced about Portugal.

My ebooks are available via Smashwords, Barnes & Noble, Kobo and I-Tunes.

“When your mother is the grave and your father is a lightning bolt it tends to make you kind of horny. And death has a way of removing one's inhibitions.”

“Ook, though very clever, was the worst fighter in the tribe. That is how he ended up with Grot-Grot as his woman. Grot-Grot had a bald patch on the top of her head, she was missing an eye and she smelled like a dead skunk. She did have a good sense of humour though.”

“The door to heaven is open to us at any time we are willing to accept that we are of absolutely no importance. The bars of our own hell - the “mind-forged manacles” as Blake put it - are our attempts to justify ourselves or prove our self-worth. Accept that none of this matters and we can see that heaven is all around us. It is there in a child’s smile, in the rain that waters the earth, even in the maggots that rise in new life from dead meat. All around us is evidence that life and love are eternal and unbroken by strife and suffering.”
