B. Davis Campbell

I am a bladder cancer survivor, having underwent major surgery and chemotherapy. During my chemotherapy, by my count, I was hospitalized five times and received seven blood transfustions. I later learned from my oncologist that my chances of surviving five years were 15-20%.

Yet, by God's grace, I was declared "cured" in 2011.

I have sought ways to encourage others from what I learned in my cancer struggle and victory. I am the author of "Bladder Cancer: Revealing News About A Hidden Threat" which was published in the April 2006 edition of "Nursing" magazine. I am also the author of "A Place I Didn't Want To Go: My Victory Over Cancer" which was published in 2011 to coincide with my five year cancer anniversary.

I am actively seeking ways to encourage those who are going through cancer or major illness. Mind you, I don't guarantee everyone will survive cancer. Yet, I seek to help those in the battle and provide the tools to hopefully help them overcome.
