Hmm… about me…

I am an Albanian born, American author. I discovered my passion for books, poetry, and writing in elementary school. The first poem I penciled – at age six – was about peace. At age eight, I decided to become a writer. Since then, I have not stopped writing. My first poetry collection, Raindrops, was published in September 2007.

As far as my credentials go, my resume is lengthy. Yes, I am the President and the Founder My One School Inc. (www.myoneschool.org), a non-profit organization that focuses in building schools for very deserving children around the globe. I am also an Executive Director of Fundraising and Development for Child Literacy Inc. (www.childliteracy.org) as well as Save a girl Child (www.saveagirlchild.org), and a very proud Rotarian (www.rotary.org).

Nonetheless, my greatest job is raising the two most 'awesomest' children, my brilliant son, Nathaniel, and oh-so talented daughter, Gentiana.

At present, some of my biggest projects are… raising funds to build another school in Mali, Africa. Subsequent to the Africa school completion, I am onward with the endeavor of my life located in Bihar, India – a school, a home and a library development. Additionally, I am incessantly working on expanding My One School globally-- while attempting to publish my first children’s book entitled, “Besa’s Books,” and the story of Kosova, “The Dream that fights.”

“A homeless man visited my store today. The few quarters that he had in his pocket he invested on books. I offered him free books, but he insisted on giving me his quarters.
