As a competitive athlete, Bruce began his study of high performers—leading to the study of human effectiveness in many personal and professional arenas. While studying the common denominators of human excellence, Bruce has worked with athletes, inner-city children, and Fortune 500 companies alike—recognizing that the principles of personal, interpersonal, team and organizational excellence are universal.

Qualifications:

Dr. Jackson holds a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from the Boston University school of Education, a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Minnesota, a third Master’s degree from The Fielding Graduate Institute, and a Ph.D. in Human and Organizational Systems from the Fielding Graduate Institute. Dr. Jackson’s research identified the core components and strategies that people use to find “flow” or “peak experiences.”

Dr. Jackson is the author of Finding Your Flow: How to Identify Your Flow Assets and Liabilities—the Keys to Peak Performance Every Day. He is also the co-author of Optimal Performance in Tennis: Mental Skills for Maximum Achievement in Athletics and Life, and Sports for Life: The Fruits of Play and Competition for the Young and the Young at Heart and Finding Your Flow.

His work with managers and executives, athletes, and students of all ages gives him a unique perspective on the common denominators of success and excellence—in any performance arena.

Bruce is the President of The Institute of Applied Human Excellence, a human performance consulting firm dedicated to excellence at every level of the organization. Bruce was the Director of the nationally recognized Center for the Advancement of Leadership at Utah Valley University. He also serves as an Associate Consultant for Ascent Advisor and Executive Director for the C. Charles Jackson Foundation.
