Carla was born to sing. She has performed with Paul Anka, Barry Manilow, recorded with Pianist Randal Leonard and has harmonized with Native American Flutes.

She started to write poetry and songs at a very young age. However, it was not until later in life Carla developed a passion to write children's books.
