CC Sullivan is a writer and graphic artist living in Toronto, Canada.

Originally from Burgundy, France, she spent most of her childhood moving from continent to continent with her family. She returned to Burgundy from 2007 to 2009, and it was a significant source of inspiration for her novel.

She studied the History of the Renaissance and became fascinated with the artists of that time and developed the premise for the first instalment in the series. She also drew from personal experience and from a visit to Italy to describe the Florence of her first novel.

In her most recent novel, A Shadow of Doubt from the Masters of the Elements series, she hopes to inspire her readers to discover more about Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo, who contributed significantly to the world of Art.

She is currently writing Book 2 and Book 3, the second novel in the Elements series, where Lena and her group of friends head to London to face more challenges in their journey to finding where they belong.
