Christopher Slater

Christopher Slater was born and raised in Tennessee and continues to teach middle school there. His novel, "Pup," won the inaugural Authors First Novel writing competition and is scheduled for publication in mid-June. The story of a clumsy, socially awkward man drafted to fight in an unexpected war, Slater wrote "Pup" in the hopes of reaching the hearts, minds, and funny bones of a wide audience. Slater is married with one son and loves to teach, reenact, and eat remarkably unhealthy food.
