Maura (English) Gallagher began writing in 2007 at the age of sixty. Retired from teaching ART to inner-city children and on a disability pension after being stricken with Fibromyalgia in 2001,writing became a form of therapy. She drafted a manuscript in 2007 and called it "The Quilt". She is married, with two daughters, and seven grandchildren. SHATTERED SEEDS:"SOFIA'STORY" is a biographical, historical literary fiction set in the 20th Century Berlin, the United States and South Vietnam.
