Dan Smee

Dan Smee is a returning Iraq War Veteran who served as a combat medic with the US Army; and is proud to have served his country. His one-year tour in Iraq was profound and life changing. Resilience and optimism were inspired by his front-line war experiences. Dan has a set of core-values and principles that shape the person he is today and honed while in the military. His values of integrity, honor and personal courage have given him the motivation and drive to succeed and to write this book.

Shoba Sreenivasan is a forensic psychologist who obtained a Ph.D. in clinical psychology from U.C.L.A, and received specialized post-doctoral training in forensics from U.S.C. She holds an academic position at USC, publishes papers, and works at the V.A. She has been inspired by veterans-their valor, their pride, their optimism and their loud proclamations in support of our country; that this “work in progress” with all its good steps, bad steps, and missteps- is a country of reflection, of change, of hope, and of assimilation of the world.

“The “Warrior Ethos” emphasizes placing the mission first, not accepting defeat, and being disciplined physically and mentally. Why? Because an American Soldier is a “guardian of freedom and the American way of life.”
