Born and raised on the Southside of Chicago, IL David Hawkins did not have it easy and became a product of his environment. Looking for an exit strategy after years of temporary employment from being an ex-convict, David has had the opportunity to travel with his family (wife and four kids) and work as an HVAC Journeyman across the US. He has 14 years in the trade, and over ten certifications, David L. Hawkins, also taught others about the trade but now was putting that part of his life on hold as he decided to help guide people in another way. An all-star host on car-sharing platform Turo. David rents his fleet of vehicles to incoming travelers or locals. Farther exploring the Entrepreneurship side and adding to his portfolio.

David came up with an old but new idea. He decided to write a book and become an author.

He has always known that he is creative and sought to explore his creative side while working. His debut book, Top 10 Travel Mistakes to Avoid, brings to light David’s formidable creative force.
