Deana Driver is an author, editor and book publisher in Saskatchewan, Canada. She was a freelance journalist for more than 30 years and has had more than 2,300 articles published in newspapers and magazines across Canada. Since 2008, her focus has been on writing, editing, and publishing books about fascinating Prairie people. She is the founder and CEO of DriverWorks Ink publishing and the author of six non-fiction books including Crash Harrison: Tales of a Bomber Pilot Who Defied Death, #3 of the Top 100 Bestsellers of 2023 at McNally Robinson Saskatoon, The Sailor and the Christmas Trees, winner in the Children's category of the 2015 Holiday Book Festival, and Never Leave Your Wingman: Dionne and Graham Warner’s Story of Hope, a Canadian bestseller which received Honorable Mention in the Biography category of the 2013 Great Midwest Book Festival. Never Give Up: Ted Jaleta's Inspiring Story was also a Canadian bestseller that received Honorable Mention in the Biography category of the 2007 Hollywood Book Festival and was shortlisted for both Reader's Choice and Publishing In Education awards at the 2007 Saskatchewan Book Awards. Deana has also contributed to numerous anthologies, including Cream Money: Stories of Prairie People, three volumes of Fun On The Farm: True Tales of Farm Life humour books, and three volumes of Flight: Stories of Canadian Aviation. When Deana is not writing, editing or helping others publish their books, she enjoys music, gardening, photography, reading for pleasure, spontaneously dancing, and spending time with her family.
