Also published in Germany under the name Kay Raymer.
Thanks for visiting my profile page. I am a hybrid author and screenwriter with a background in publishing and entertainment. I worked for a number of years for a film & television producer developing projects for a family audience. I write fiction for children and adults, and non-fiction on the subjects of Patient Safety and Senior Advocacy.
My writing career was interrupted in 2007 by a preventable medical injury that led me into patient safety advocacy. As a result, I co-founded a 501c(3) patient advocacy organization focused on public education about the socioeconomic impact of the health care industry on families, business, and communities. I also provide training to Attorneys who work with Seniors and their families.
Fiction is my first love, and I always have a project or two in the works. My first novel, Hanna Street, was optioned for film and published by Bertlesmann in Germany in 2001, under the name Das Rosenhaus. The original manuscript (in English) is published on Amazon as an ebook and in paperback. The audiobook will be released in January 2017, perfectly narrated by actress and voiceover coach, Bettye Zoller Seitz.
In 2016, I began work on a series of horse stories because I loved horse stories when I was young. Lily's Song is the first title in this series, with second title to be released in 2017, I also wrote a "bedtime story" called Sun, Comet & Cloud: The Legend of the Hidden Horses, which has been well received, particularly on audio, beautifully narrated by stage actor & casting director Bob Barton.
My first non-fiction title is a short ebook, 6 Signs Your Parent Needs Help At Home: A Guide For Adult Children.
I live in Southwest Missouri with my husband and two quirky little dogs. I love to connect with readers and other authors, and look forward to hearing from you.
