Evie Jayne

Hi all,

My name is Evie Jayne. I'm a 42 year old nomad trying to stay in one place. Helped by two school aged, wild sons, a rather delicate black thoroughbred horse and my writing. Hindered by a wanderlust that has dogged me my whole life.

I live in a hand built hippy paradise in the middle of the bush on the wild west coast of New Zealand. I'm animal mad and have a flock of chooks, 2 goats, one cute and strangely clumsy pup a fat and fluffy Shetland pony and two thoroughbred horses who I cant imagine living without.

2 years ago I joined the Evernight publishing family with the oh so exciting acceptance and release of my first published work, Lunacy and the Vampire.

Scar Tissue, the 2nd book in the Dominion series will be released this month. I know, I know. 2 years between books is just not good enough, but please forgive me. I have lived through the aftermath of a series of city destroying earthquakes, moving from one side of the country to the other and the serious injury and rehabilitation of one of my very much treasured horses. The next one wont take so long, I promise.

I write paranormal romance and urban fantasy. I'm a woman of dreams and mythology and a closet romantic. (Really, my friends would swear I'm not. Little do they know.)

I like lots of things!

Some of those things are;

yams roasted until they melt in my mouth

the smell of horse and hay

my sons laughter

reading until I can't keep my eyes open any longer

dancing barefoot in the sun

intelligent television

hand made ceramic kitchenware

strong black coffee

my friends (strange artistic types and mad horsewomen.)

my family, quirks and all

eclectic curios from all eras and countries

“He’d been young when he’d been turned, maybe late twenties. He looked tough, sinewy and strong, with close cropped sable hair and a sinfully full mouth. Yes, beautiful. Stunning, in fact.He stared at Luna with hunger in the depths of his ice blue eyes. Even looking worn and underfed, the vampire radiated a wild danger that sent a thrill through her entire body. What the hell! Shocked and angry with her irritatingly female reaction, she glared at the offending vampire, not bothering to disguise her loathing. Who was this freaking leech, and what was he doing to her?- Lunacy and the Vampire by Evie Jayne”
