Writing is one of my passions. Ironically, it was born out of another passion, reading.

Growing up I went down the rabbit hole with Alice and meant with the queen of hearts under the covers in my bedroom with a flash light. I marveled at black beauty and watched in awe as captain Ahab wrestled with the great white whale. In fact, I don’t remember a time when reading wasn’t a big part of my life.

In high school required reading was Man Child in the Promised Land and Black Boy by Richard Wright. On my own, I traveled to India with M. L. Kay and to Regency England with Victoria Holt. I cried with Jane Eyre when I was a teen and revisited her again last year.

Reading assuages my curiosity by allowing me to explore other places, times, cultures, and most of all history. I write for the same reason. My desire is to take the reader on an emotional journey through the pages of history.

Since the release of The Vance Legacy in February 2009, many readers have made known their desire for a sequel. I am proud to say that the sequel, Dark Legacy has been published as is available at amazon.com.

I am a life-long resident of Philadelphia, a wife, the mother of two adult children and three grandchildren.
