Hi Reader,

My original bio came out kind of bio-y so I asked myself, "Why shouldn't I treat this like my 'personal canvas'?" Then I thought, "Wow, that was really hard to punctuate!" Then I stopped thinking and drank some coffee.

I'm a writer living in Nanuet, New York. My work has appeared online in The Poetry Warrior, Rose & Thorn Journal and three of my stories were published in Ancient Paths Literary Magazine in the January, 2011 issue. One of these stories, The Aubade, was nominated for a Pushcart Prize.

My young adult novel, The Word Gang, was published by Precipitation Press in December, 2010. The Word Gang is the story of three kids in school who start using big words to be disruptive.

I also published two novels in 2014, , a science-fiction story about the human race's "First Contact" and , let's call them "quirky adult fiction."

Thanks for stopping by!

Mark McKenna

btw: I'm not the Mark McKenna from Australia who writes children's books and has written a book on beer. Nice name, though!
