Ivan Cotter

After more than forty years of writing professionally on behalf of clients as a patent attorney, leavened by trying to entertain audiences as an amateur actor in musicals and farces, I decided to brighten up my retirement by trying to entertain readers as an amateur novelist. Drawing on my knowledge of law, technology, research and acting, I wrote a novel called "The Schmetterling Effect", a Kindle edition of which was published on Amazon on 15 March 2012. After writing as a "word samurai or warrior", i.e. with serious purpose, for more than four decades, I found writing purely for pleasure to be enormously enjoyable. If my readers get as much pleasure as I got in writing, I will be well pleased.
