James William Steele

A Surgical Technologist by profession and a writer by passion, James has been around the world, literally. Spending 5 years in the Navy and seeing sights, countries and landmarks that would amaze the senses, James has been blessed to follow his dreams. His writing career began as a young child, penning stories of hidden portals deep in the heart of a long lost well, vampires taking over deserted ghost towns and writing about other monsters that go bump in the night. During his time in the Navy, James started his first full length novel and found that his craft could go further than just a couple of short stories.

Ending his tenure with the service and with one published book under his belt, James came home to Grants Pass, Oregon to start a family and continue his writing career. Since then he has started on his second novel and his work has been seen in a number of magazines and websites as a freelance writer and blogger. Continuing his surgical career alongside his writing, James' busy schedule has been an adventure in disguise. Discovering the art of the written word and finding that creative thinking can be applied to any subject, no matter the complexity, James' writing style is both heartfelt and detailed in its presentation.

He currently lives in Southern Oregon with his wife and two beautiful girls.
