ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Janice Newman is an inspirational spiritual speaker, author, workshop presenter, life coach and previous support group leader, who draws on her own life experiences to inspire people beyond their current awareness by using humor, humility and compassion. An encourager who helps her clients find solutions to their life challenges utilizing a positive, supportive spiritual approach.
Janice has lectured about the mind-body connection in her Design Your Life seminar where her work is based on honesty, integrity, understanding, respect and inspiration while drawing on her own life experiences.
Janice started what would become her life's work in Chicago in 1995. She attended classes at the Church of Religious Science where she began training as a Practitioner and later in the ministerial program. She became a speaker at many churches, and soon found herself counseling clients.
Janice was able to put her philosophies into practice after a 2008 diagnosis of Stage IV Vulvar cancer, where she embarked on an intensive program of spiritual treatment prayer, affirmations, visualization, and live food nutrition plan. Within six months, she was completely healed of cancer and returned to work.
Janice left the corporate world in 2010 to further develop her work inspiring, guiding and coaching others to utilize a spiritual and holistic approach to healing dis-ease, particularly cancer.
Janice’s first book Stage V: A Spiritual Path to Healing Cancer was published in December 2011, as Janice explains, “this is a book about healing, where divergent modalities travel together on a long and winding spiritual path to health; a marriage if you will, where God, traditional medical treatments, spiritual mental healing, and holistic practices harmonize to heal cancer. It discusses how cancer healing leads to a new, wonderful and fulfilling life.” Janice accompanies you to Spiritual Clarity on a Spiritual Path to the Spiritual Zone, and finally shows you a little adjustment with her Spiritual Tune-Up.
Janice began her professional career in Indiana as Director of a Retired Senior Volunteer Program, where she recruited and placed volunteers in non-profit organizations that could utilize their life long skills. Later she became a Director of Volunteer Services in a Hospital where she began to learn more about volunteering in a healthcare and healing environment. At the hospital, Janice’s office was situated between the pastoral care office and the cancer treatment center; Janice began to learn a great deal about both. This opened the door to greater spiritual awareness for her and the great needs of people going through cancer treatment (which she herself would utilize further down the road).
After moving to Chicago, Janice worked in Sales/Marketing positions in several Fortune 50 companies. Janice was a seminary student and is a licensed Religious Science Practitioner.
