I am mother to two boys, my youngest who is four has Autistic Spectrum Disorder and the book tells of my experiences with him. The book deals with topics such as sensory issues, getting the help that you need from professionals, education, finding local support, going out with your child, toilet training and helping siblings. Most importantly you will find out that you are not alone.

I published my second book in 2013, 'My Life with Tom, Living with Autism. The Blogs, Volume One.'is a collection of my blog posts.

I write a weekly column for the Lancaster Guardian and I am a current events reporter for Autism Daily Newscast.

“I see autism as having many different strands. All of these strands are beautiful. They are all the colours of the rainsbow intertwined intricately into the child. If you try and take away the autism by removing the strands you also take away parts of the child as they are attached to them. Thhey are what makes them who they are. However autism is only a part of them, not the whole. It does not define them. This is for my Tom.”
