Growing up, I wanted to be the next Erma Bombeck, only Jewish.

Fortunately, I kept my day job in health care public relations as I wrote humor pieces at night. During my career I’ve written on topics spanning health care, technology addictions, psychology, happiness; relationships; profiles of remarkable individuals; movies, rock and roll legends, and of course, Jewish values, history, culture, and practice.

In February 2024 my next book, "Blessings and Bylines," will be published by Koehler Books, and I am very excited! You can read more about it on my website, and I hope you will!

I'm also the author of the widely praised memoir, "The Skeptic and the Rabbi: Falling in Love with Faith," which has earned fantastic reader reactions by people of all faiths, and three previous humor books. I edit memoirs and other non-fiction books, with a specialty on Jewish philosophy and life, business communication, and alternative health journeys. I also coach writers as they develop their non-fiction books, which I love to do. It's very exciting to watch their projects unfold and develop in the way that best expresses their intentions.

Currently, I’m a regular columnist at the Jewish Journal, and my work has also appeared in the Wall Street Journal, Chicago Tribune, Boston Globe, Aish.com, Jewish Action, the New York Daily News, and other outlets.

“You know you're a mom when you open the door to the dishwasher mid-cycle and think, 'This is the closest I'm going to get to a spa treatment till next Mother's Day.'""Joining the words 'Lose Weight, Effortlessly!' in the same sentence may be a form of hate speech.""Try to make time for the things that are important, not just the things that are urgent.""I want my work to matter, my words to count for the good, and to spread some good cheer along the way.”
