A Manhattanite by way of California, KC lived, loved, and wrote in New York City for twenty-four years before moving abroad. She currently lives in a charming farming community in South Korea where she teaches English. A lover of the word, whether it be clean as a babbling brook or as purple as a violet, she has published poetry, literary fiction, and nonfiction in such publications as "AOL Style Blog", “Urban Latino Magazine,” “The Nubian Gallery,” “Cover Magazine", and the National Organization for Women. Currently, she writes for BlackPast.org an online encyclopedia of the Black diaspora.
KC’s debut novel "Mourning Becomes Her" was published by the Harlem Writers Guild Press in June of 2006.
She is represented by the Jill Grosjean Agency.
