In 2003, at the young age of 37, I finally found my passion and realized what I wanted to be when I grow up.

I spent three years writing my first book, which sucked, and every year since then learning how to be a better writer. With every partial and complete book, I believe I have grown. I never took any creative writing classes. I learned by doing and paying attention to how it was done in the books I read. When I read a book, its not just a story that entertains me. It is a teaching instrument. But as I like to put it, who can ask for better teachers than the likes of Robert Jordan and David Gemmell?

Today I have two books that I self published and the first one, Hell in a Storm, is getting pretty good reviews in Barnes&Noble. At least by the few readers who have rated it. One in particular compares me to the late Robert Jordan. Now, I in no way, think that of myself. I don't believe I am a hack, but I don't see myself in their league, but it really feels good that someone else would, even if they are just trying to be extra nice.

I hope you will read my books and I truly hope you will enjoy them. For it is your opinions of my writing that will be the difference in my writing for a half an hour at lunch every day, and possibly someday writing for a living.

One can only dream.
