Kerry E. Wagner is a native Houstonian. He is affiliated with various entertainers in the Houston area. After devoting years to Houstons underground rap scene, this former rapper took 18 years of experience and was compelled to change the game of urban literature. He was first inspired to publish his work after reading New York Bestseller, Coldest Winter Ever, by Sister Souljah.

Kerry began writing his first novel after being incarcerated. Without the means to seek a publisher, Kerry E. Wagner lived and wrote the fictional masterpiece She Did That while living out of his car. He went to the library everyday and took notes free hand because he was computer illiterate at the time. Initially, his manuscript was over 800 handwritten pages, a testament to his hard work, perseverance, and drive. Kerry created an audio version of the first three chapters of She Did That to test market in area beauty salons and on local college following on the underground circuit. He made frequent appearances on the message boards and forums of Michael Baisden, Russ Parr, Reggie Johnson and Steve Harvey, becoming very popular in online communities.

Kerry's latest novel, "Never Let Go of My Hand" is a masterpiece as it touches upon the bond mothers and grandmothers have for their sons.

In the silence of the night, there is a disturbing tapping at the side window. To young Eric, this will be the earliest recollection of the last few moments of his father's life. A haunting whisper echoes throughout his existence and challenges the steel of his character. The consequences of that tragic night will disrobe and set the course for the rest of his never ending life, until death do they part.

Rebellion, conflict, and adversity find him a worthy opponent. He struggles to find solace in a world whereby his very own hand creates strife and discord amongst any positive he attempts. Undisciplined, his natural talents and instincts cannot temper the restlessness in his spirit. Even a mother's Godly soul, which seeks to protect her one and only son from the world, finds it a daunting task when even she cannot protect him from his own quandary. Sometimes loving someone unconditionally means allowing them the dignity of risk. Unconditional love is put to the test in this poignant story of vulnerability, discontent and pursuit of redemption in manhood. As we tell the truth about ourselves, we give others the courage to do the same and the opportunity to feel unconditionally loved by us.

With unconditional love, nothing else matters; without it, nothing else is enough.
