Kimberlee R. Mendoza

Kimberlee is the mother of two adult children. She just moved from California to Texas to become the Dean of Languages and Literature/Associate English Professor at Wayland. She is also a cover artist for The Wild Rose Press and a former YA editor. She is the author of over a sixteen novels, one non-fiction book, dozens of plays, and several poems and short stories. She has a MFA in Writing, MA in Humanities: Playwriting/Literature, and a PhD in Leadership & Higher Education. She is also the winner of the Sherwood Eliot Wirt Writer of the Year Award for 2006. She often speaks on writing and leadership at various conference throughout the year. She loves dark chocolate, black licorice, and white gravy (not together, mind you). You can assume if she isn't working, she is writing, reading, or watching movies.

“Writing one page a day equals a 365 page novel in a year.”
