Louise Dean has won the Betty Trask Prize, Le Prince Maurice Prize, been nominated for The Guardian First Book Prize, and longlisted for the Booker Prize.  Her first book 'Becoming Strangers' was named one of The Observer's top four books of the year, and her most recent book 'The Old Romantic' an Oprah Book of the Week.
