Lynda is a Sydney-based author who has always created stories; from before she could write to the HSC and beyond. “Creative writing” has always been popular (along with Maths and Science). As a youngster, she could never find the right book with enough story for an intelligent young reader - well not one that didn't have all that teenage, "angsty and emotional stuff”. Therefore, she never read much.
Some years ago she was challenged to write something publishable and The Enigma Diaries series came into being.
A mother of two boys (both new adults), former Electrical Engineer and Physics/Maths Teacher. She is a compulsive volunteer at Scouts, Little Athletics, St John Ambulance, Netball and at her church in Children's & Youth ministries. She weaves her experiences and expertise into plots that play with time, space and other dimensions in novel ways.
Lynda is a member of the Society of Women Writers, the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators, NSW Writer's Centre, Australian Society of Authors and the Children's Book Council of Australia. She has an eclectic mix of degrees and enjoys writing these letters after her name if ever given a chance: BE(Elec) Hon, DipLang (German), GradDipEd, MA (CrWr) - Vice Chancellor's Award (so she is also an overachiever).
