Legacy Account for Marilyn Barnicke Belleghem (January 1943 - July 2022)

As a marriage and family therapist I wanted to write a self-help memoir that would cover several themes that clients came to me requesting help.

One common theme is the challenge to discover who they can be when they are free from the roles they learned in their family of origin and overcoming the pressures to please others.

I chose to leave my responsibilities behind and travel with a group of mental health professionals to England and Ireland to explore sacred and historical sites to discover how what we believe influences how we behave.

I discovered new strengths in my Self and returned to write Questing Marilyn: In Search Of My Holy Grail. I use the Holy Grail as the essence of the authentic Self. Readers face my challenges with me and discover ways to make decisions in their own lives. I've been told readers feel they are along on my personal adventure.

In subsequent books, I share how I rebuild my life after divorce with stories of dating as a mature woman.

I am presently working on Questing Confidence: Managing My Holy Grail, to share the ways life can be redirected after loss when we accept responsibility for the choices we make.

The Questing series is filled with my insights and knowledge from years of training and working as a marriage and family therapist. Many travel destinations are also part of my growth as I love to travel.

Chapters and reviews are available on my web site.
