Marisette Burgess

I'm the child of Cuban immigrants who came to this country when they were young. Growing up in a Spanish-speaking household with a lazy eye, I faced challenges in learning to read as a child and was held back. Then around the 4th grade I read Nancy Drew, Hardy Boys and BabySitters Club. Once books took over my spare time, I couldn’t put them down. I began writing unique mystical worlds with epic story arcs and characters.

I love writing about the fantastical, pushing my imagination to the limit. My son asked me once why I write and my answer was because it allows me to cope with my crazy. I like to explore themes like girl power, diversity, perseverance, and fighting against the odds.

Other than writing, I enjoy traveling and relaxing in front of serene landscapes with my family. Things I could not live without are flip-flops, coke zero, and yoga capris.

Marisette is author to the Symbol of Hope Trilogy on Amazon a YA Supernatural Adventure Romance.

Latest projects include a sultry vampiric Novella- Salvation by Blood
