Mark Dintenfass

Mark Dintenfass was born in Brooklyn and graduated from Columbia University, from which he also received an M.A. in Drama. With his wife, Phyllis, he joined the Peace Corps and was assigned to Ethiopia, where he taught English at Haile Selassie University in Addis Ababa. He wrote his first novel while at the Writer's Workshop at the University of Iowa, where he earned an M>F.A. Since then, he has been a member of the faculty at Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin, with time off for a year in Connecticut and two years abroad. He is the father of two sons. David and Nathan.
