Mary Crowley

Mary Crowley is a novelist and freelance writer with a monthly literature column in, The Munster Express Newspaper. She is also the author of Contemporary Irish novels Under a Dark Cloud and A Sweet Smell of Strawberries. Mary is proud to have won the Waterford Writers’ Weekend Short Story Competition (2016) with her story entitled The Three Sisters’. Her fictional work focusses on strong emotional relationships and situations that can too easily effect any one of us. Telling the story from the heart, sprinkled with Intrigue and hope.

When she is not writing, Mary loves spending time with her family and travelling to new and interesting places in her beloved VW Camper searching for the next story to tell.

The Setting for A Sweet Smell of Strawberries was inspired by a yearly trip to Donegal, captured by the beautiful scenic views of The Wild Atlantic Way.

Under a Dark Cloud is set closer to home in a fictional town called Bunreen, while exploring the beauty Waterford has to offer along The Greenway and Tramore
