Monica Douglas Davis has an associate license in professional counseling. She obtained a MA in education from Concordia University and a second MA in Professional Counseling from Argosy University. She was a public school teacher for eleven years.She has worked in several types of schools, including inner city Chicago schools, a language academy, a classical school and a suburban school in Gwinnett County Georgia. Monica has also worked as a mental health counselor in the state of Georgia. She created curriculum for several children and adolescent groups and she has developed a behavior management game. She spent time working in conjunction with the Gwinnett County Juvenile Justice System. She has volunteered for several organizations working with children and families including, the YWCA, Child Abuse Prevention Services, HOPE worldwide, and Voices of Faith Education and Youth Ministries. Her goal is to empower children and their families so they can have the most fulfilling lives possible. Monica has written several other books for children and adolescents and is in the process of publishing them.
