Omoruyi Uwuigiaren

Omoruyi Uwuigiaren is a cartoonist and writer. When he was a kid, he loved music and composed songs for his high school band. After school, he wanted to pursue a career in music. Instead he embraced writing and studied Mass Communications.

He freelance as a cartoonist with Vanguard newspapers from 2002-2005

Presently, he freelance as a cartoonist for The Mirror Online.

Some of his published books include:

Andrew Golgotha: Children’s book self-published in 2003. This was his first published work. Due to poor marketing, things did not turnout as anticipated.

Little Okon and the Outside World is the touching story of a boy who was an orphan. It was first published in 2004 by Apex Books Limited. The title is now published by Human Change Communications Company.

Empire of the Wicked: A play published with Pekan Ventures in 2004. Approved in 2005 by the Lagos state and Imo state governments for use in the primary school. The author sold the manuscript. Used the proceeds to self-publish The Treasure of a Goldsmith in 2005. Treasure of a Goldsmith sold in thousands.

Shadows in a River: Following the success of Empire of the Wicked and The Treasure of a Goldsmith. Netcontinental published Shadows in a River in 2006. Few years later, rights to the work transferred to the author. The book is now published by Human Change Communications Company.

Giant in a Hut and Little King: Two beautiful children’s books. The author published with Learnrite Publishers Nigeria Limited in 2007. Thousands of copies sold to primary school in Nigeria.

In 2007, he published The Adventures of Nihu with an American publisher, Bouncing Ball Books. This book is a high fantasy novel about a tribal boy. He was banished to the Lonely Forest as punishment for a crime he did not commit. During the 2008 global meltdown, Bouncing Ball Books went bankrupt.

The City Heroes and other stories from the heart of Africa published in 2012 by Open Books. These stories are some of his finest and will remain dear to the writer.

Mary has a little Lamb, Tom the Little Man, Billy the Island Goat, The Happy Twins, Henry Loves Grandma, I am Jane, Jane the Good Girl, The Night Watchman, Honourable Man, Seyi Can Talk, Snail Prince, and Lucy the Elephant. Self-published by the author under Human Change Communications Company from 2012 till date.

Saving Madam Lucy and the Lucky Horse: Two colorful books. Published with Reverend Crown Publications, India in 2022.

The Ghost of Dalmos: His recently published fantasy fiction about a man inside of a tree. Published with Ukiyoto publishing, India.

Love Birds, The Stranger Within: Two manuscripts recently signed by Love Africa Press. No release date yet.

H3c as the company is popularly called is a Lagos based small publisher that specializes in children's books. Most of their books are distributed to primary schools in Nigeria.
