I grew up in a wonderful home where music, literature, art, and ideas flowed freely. My earliest years were spent in Cambridge, England. They left a big impression on me and I've been lucky to be able to go back to the British Isles several times since my childhood.
My mother is a published poet and writer and my social anthropologist father, also. My sister, brother and I wrote stories and poems from our earliest years--same thing with music. We also roamed the foothills, read, sang, and talked a lot.
With this background, it seemed fitting for me to edit and publish a volume of poetry, All Things Bright and Beautiful, collected from people in the area where I live.
I'm now writing my first novel, My Flesh From Stone, set in Somerset, England. I am interested in writing for every genre and have book plans percolating for children and young adults also, before I put down the pen.
As well as writing, I love to travel, sing, perform, read, garden, be out in nature, and spend time with my family. I love to learn and try new things. Isn't life grand?!
