Richard Marek

Richard Marek started in publishing at McCall's magazine when Peter Ritner was editor in chief. He moved to World Publishing in 1969, became editor in chief of The Dial Press in 1972, started his own imprint, Richard Marek Press, for Putnam's in 1977, and has had his imprint, St. Martin's/Marek, with St. Martin's Press since 1981.
