Robert of Prague

Robert of Prague (nom de plume) comes from an old and unusual family with French & German (Alsace-Lorraine), Austrian (Vienna), and the last 200 years with Bohemian (Czech) blood & heritage. Both sides of the family come from very humble peasant origins including serfdom. The family’s been multilingual for generations & blessed with lovely & smart women. The father side rose up into the academy and the professional world through diligence in education. Robert’s mother was the first one in her family with a college degree. However, her parents were entrepreneurs between WWI - WWII who became very wealthy by their hard work and perseverance. They lost it all after the Soviet-backed communist putsch of Czechoslovakia in 1948. The family stood up for Freedom for three generations & suffered severe persecution especially under the tyrannical Soviet rule from 1948-1989. His paternal grandfather was a renowned scientist - medicine, nuclear physics, math & natural sciences, his father a topnotch organic chemist. His mother was a looker; an actress, dancer & singer (Big Bands & Broadway music). Robert grew up in Prague & is a geologist/singer-songwriter/adventurer. In July 2012 He celebrated his 42 years of Liberty & 20 years as a proud, grateful & un-hyphenated US citizen. September 2012 marked 30 years in the USA. In the late 70s, he backpacked across western Europe including the Spanish Canary Islands along the W- African coast (Columbus began his journey of discovery on Tenerife). In 1982-83, he backpacked for six months across the lower 48. He is ‘single again’, has a lovely 26 years-old daughter and currently resides under the Rocky Mountains in UT. He is hooked for life on the Rockies & the surreal canyons of the Colorado Plateau. His passions are liberty, adventures, music (jazz, classical, harmony vocals), books, learning new things, skiing & outdoors. Robert is an Alpha-male (just as his father & grandpa; his mom was an Alpha-female too) alright yet he’s not afraid to express deep emotion governed by reason. He is also, like his mother had been, absolutely faithful in a relationship with a lady.
