Simon Herring

Simon Herring was born in Africa and has lived there, much against his better judgement, all of his life.

His work in hotels, which forms the basis for his book "Sorry for that!", has taken him all around Zimbabwe - a country which he claims to know 'as well as the inside of his underpants'.

Simon lives with his wife and three daughters in Penhalonga - on the Zimbabwe/Mozambique border. He has a deep and uncomplicated love for Africa which comes through in his writing - coupled with gentle, though frequently politically-incorrect, humour.

His first book is a light and rollicking read.

“It's not what's in the looks that counts - it's what's in the broeks that counts!”
