Stacy Mantle first discovered her story-telling ability when, at the age of two, she successfully shifted blame for breaking a vase on her newborn brother. Writing fiction seemed to be a logical next step. She wrote her first short story at the age of 8, for which she won a prestigious writing award. She followed this success with a screenplay five years later, for which she received no acclaim at all.
Her first love is animals, and when she's not rescuing them, she's writing about them. In her spare time, she enjoys archery, reading, and avoiding reality. She currently lives in the deserts of the southwest with three dogs, several cats, and a very understanding husband.
