The author's most recent fictional project is the Lavender Creek Trilogy. All three stories focus on Leah Cooper, a contemporary woman trying to solve the mystery surrounding an old 1800's Victorian home and the Hamilton family, immigrants to the United States from England, who had the home built and subsequently experienced tragedy there. Grief, family ancestry, and friendship are a few of the elements of the trilogy. Other than spending time with family and writing, some of Susan's favorite things include coffee, rainy days, reading, singing, chocolate, music and word games. She enjoys researching locations for book settings and learning about new places.
