Susan Waterfield

Susan Waterfield is a pen name used by the writer of the Spunkie Hoodle Series and Star Bubbles and Hiccups. Susan Waterfield has spent most of her life in the southern part of the United States. Her family moved to California and then to Europe when Susan was a teenager. After four years overseas, Susan returned to the United States to attend college. She graduated from Louisiana State University.

Susan is married and has a son named Brian. She loves all animals and supports the Humane Society of America in their efforts to fight cruelty towards innocent and helpless animals. Susan also loves children very much and loves writing stories for them.

When she is not working on a picture book for kids, Susan is doing a painting, or she is outdoors with her dogs and horses, or indoors with her cats, or doing gardening on a hot summer day.

“Really good writing has purpose and that purpose should be to shape other minds to desire truth and a more noble purpose in life and to become more thoughtful and knowledgable about important things like being kind and loving towards all living beings on our planet and not just humans but all animals.”
