My name is Sven and I am a 39 year old Dutchman who considers himself a damn lucky S.O.B.

About 8 years ago I was in the middle of the darkest few years of my life. I had just found out that I was HIV+ and thought it was a REALLY good idea to get completely addicted to Crystal Meth. With all expected consequences, of course!

So, as I sat at home, wondering where my life was headed, I started to write. And when I started the write the most amazing thing happened: my life started to SLOWLY make sense. Everything I had gone through, was going through and had yet to go through became more purposeful.

The good, the bad and the ugly ultimately got resolved and THOSE stories ended up becoming a book called “Sorry, Not Dead Yet!” which was published late last year. Talk about a perfect ending to a harrowing yet life affirming journey! I would love for you to read it and tell me what you think.

Today I am happily involved with the most amazing other person on this planet. We live in Austin, with two dogs. These days I write about our adventures of having moved from California to Texas, along with our trips across the globe.
