Terena Scott

Terena Scott is a Mendocino County author and playwright, as well as a book publisher. Her press, Medusa's Muse, publishes non-fiction books, including "The Radical Housewife" by Shannon Drury and "Traveling Blind" by Laura Fogg. When not publishing or writing, Terena edits fiction and creates terrariums.

Terena is the author of "What You Need to Know to Be a Pro," a business guide to self publishing. She has also written two full length plays ("The Guru" - a farce based on Tartuff and "Prince Charming" - a Depression Era romantic comedy) and several 10 minute plays.

Teaching is another passion. Terena teaches classes on self-publishing and developing one's own publishing path. With so many options in the publishing world, a writer can easily get lost. Terena helps them find their way and stay true to their own unique voice.

“If you are working with authors, you are accepting a great responsibility and must tread very carefully. The author's work is a part of herself, a creative endeavor she has poured her heart and soul into. Protecting and nurturing that work and the author is part of the job of a publisher.”
