Kamryn Adams (1972- ) was raised in a small town in Southeastern Ohio. After graduating from the University of Kentucky, where she studied chemistry and pharmacy, she moved to the East Coast and fell in love with the diverse cultures and fast paced way of life. She currently resides in metropolitan New York City where she plans to remain until she retires.
As a young girl, Kamryn started writing stories about her family in a wire bound notebook. Years later she wrote a short story called, "The Pink Bow" that caused her English professor to take note of her talent. With that encouragement, Kamryn began a lifetime love of writing stories that had the purpose to entertain and empower. She continued to privately write in wire bound notebooks until the public release of her debut novel, "Par for the Curse" (2009), which won several accolades in regional competitions across the US including the New York Book Festival.
Though her stories are not autobiographical, she relates to her characters and their issues so passionately that readers often ask if the stories are based upon her own life. As a novelist, Kamryn Adams tackles tough family issues with an authenticity that makes her fiction powerfully healing.
