His kickstart to the World of Novels

Although only syllabus books were prescribed to him ever by school teachers n parents alike the twist in the story came when one day during a Library period (when he used to grab Champak, Balhans, Nandan), his lib. teacher, instead, recommended him the hindi version of 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea by Jules Verne.

Moreover, around the same time, he got awarded with some fiction novels (abridged versions) at the school Annual Function for topping Academics in his 5th/6th std... which he read subsequently as and when he found leisure time apart from school homework, tests, playing outdoors, and so many adventure tv shows on DD (Mahabharat, Capt. Vyom, Shaktiman, Suraag, Shri Krishna, Chandrakanta, etc.) etc.

Those were the days he developed genuine interest in novels, chiefly adventure ones, and the saga continues till now ;)

And he used to have a particular dream since reading that first novel; he vowed to complete its sort-of-incomplete ending in reality. Since then, that childish dream has grown into writing novel(s) of author's own. He does have some brilliant story-lines.. but the time reqd. to be devoted to this 'noble' cause is checking it to be fulfilled.... but someday you'll definitely find a copy of his in your bookshelves :)

P.S. -- VPS also developed interest in reading & writing poetry in college days (thanks to some of his pretty good 'poet' friends). Since then, he has penned down about 400+ poems till now cumulatively in both languages :)
