Several great authors and poets have influenced the shape and texture of my life, bleeding into the stories I pen. Jack Kerouac inspired me to hit the open road and experience the world from the dirt up, to roll around in life and smear it all over my body. From that dogma I've learned to cherish each drop of sweat and blood born from living life to the fullest. Henry David Thoreau taught how to be an anarchist while Walt Whitman inspired me to see the poetry in nature. On the flip side, Robert Anton Wilson introduced quantum physics and the notion that trusting any corporation, organization, or government entity might be a mistake. Phillip K. Dick taught not to trust my own thoughts and perception. These influences helped create one basic ground rule for writing: question everything, especially yourself.
