“It looks like you two never really got into the eye of the storm. You were more like… the cows who got tossed around on the outskirts.”
“The word that comes to mind is 'beefcake', Zane drawled, looking Ty over, appreciating the view"Mission accomplished then!" Ty said happily as he turned around to face Zane again. He frowned suddenly. "Is beefcake one word or two?"Zane laughed. "Who cares when you've got a great ass?”
“He turned to look at the door and narrowed his eyes. So, Rule Number One, apparently, was that he wasn’t allowed to crack a smile during foreplay. “Got it,” he muttered to himself as he pulled his shirt over his head and tossed it to the side before stepping up to the door and throwing it open.”
“You ever get gut feelings? Like you see something and you just know?” Ty asked, feeling stupid but not caring. He felt Zane squeeze his hand. “First time I saw you, after I got over hating you, I knew… I knew we’d die together. I could just feel it deep down. Never felt that before.”
“This is a bad idea. Remember when we were on TV?”“Yes, Grady got fan mail for a month.”“I did?”“We burned it, as you should all evil things”
“You told me one time that . . . I was your compass. I gave you direction when you were lost,” Ty said, nearly choking on the words. He glanced up, eyes reflecting like liquid in the low light. “Well, you were my anchor. You were something solid for me to hold onto. I wanted you to remember that.”
“Zane rolled his eyes. "Galloping crazies."Ty squeezed his hand. "Well, you said you liked horses.”
