“Is that a bad thing?” He angled his wineglass. “Every aspect of society todaycontrives to muddy our vision. To make us want things we don‟t need. Need thingswe don‟t want. Strip all of that away and cut to your deathbed.” He clinked theirglasses together. “That‟s the essence of a life.”
“He announces that lately he keeps losing things. "Like your wife and child," I want to say, but don´t. At fourty, I´ve learned not to say everything clever, not to score every point.”
