“At these times, the adversary appears holding two boards.Written on one board: “Think more of yourself. Keep your blessings to yourself, otherwise you will lose everything.”The other board reads: “who are you to help others? Can’t you even see your own defects?”A warrior of the light knows he has defects. But he also knows he cannot grow alone, and distance himself from his companions.So he throws both boards to the ground, even though he believes they contain some truth deep down. They turn to dust, and the warrior continues to help those near him.”

“The warrior of light knows the importance of intuition. In the midst of battle, he does not have time to think of the enemy's blows, and so he uses his instinct and obeys his angel. in times of peace, he deciphers the signs that God sends him. People say, "He's mad." Or, "He lives in a fantasy world." Or even, "How can he possibly believe in such illogical things?" But the warrior knows that intuition is God's alphabet and he continues listening to the wind and talking to the stars.”

“A Warrior knows that an angel and a devil are both competing for his sword hand. The devil says: "You will weaken. You will not know exactly when. You are afraid." The angel says: "You will weaken. You will not know exactly when. You are afraid." The Warrior is surprised. Both the angel and the devil have said the same thing. The devil continues: "Let me help you." And the angel says: "I will help you." At that moment the Warrior understands the difference. The words may be the same but these two allies are completely different. And he chooses the angel's hand.”

“The Warrior looks at the column of Fear, where he reads: “you are about to enter an unknown and dangerous world where all that you have learned up to now will be of no use whatsoever.”The Warrior of Light looks at the column of Desire, where he reads: “you are about to leave a known world where all the things you always wanted and all that you have fought so hard for are kept.”The Warrior smiles, because nothing can frighten him and nothing can hold him. With the confidence of those who know what they want, he opens the door.”

“A warrior cannot lower his head - otherwise he loses sight of the horizon of his dreams.”

“After accepting love as a stimulus, a man faces the third obstacle: the fear of the defeats he will encounter along the way. A man who fights for his dream suffers far more when something doesn’t go well, because he cannot use the famous excuse: “oh, well in fact that wasn’t exactly what I wanted anyway… ” He does want it, and knows he is putting everything into it, and also that the Personal Legend is just as difficult as any other path - the difference being that your heart is present on this journey. So, a warrior of the light must be prepared to be patient at difficult times, and know that the Universe is conspiring in his favor, even if he does not understand how.”

“A warrior of light respects the main teaching of the I Ching: 'To persevere is favourable.'He knows that perseverance is not the same thing as insistence. There aretimes when battles go on longer than necessary, draining him of strength andenthusiasm.At such moments, the warrior thinks: 'A prolonged war finally destroys thevictors too.'Then he withdraws his forces from the battlefield and allows himself arespite. He perseveres in his desire, but knows he must wait for the best moment to attack.A warrior always returns to the fray. He never does so out of stubbornness,but because he has noticed a change in the weather.”
