“Jesus?" he whispered as his voice choked "I feel so lost"A hand reached out and squeezed his, and didn't let go. "I know Mack. But it's not true. I am with you and I'm not lost. I'm sorry it feels that way, but hear me clearly. You are not lost.”

“Mack was getting frustrated. He spoke louder, 'But, don't I have a right to...'To complete a sentence without being interrupted? Not in reality. But as long as you think you do, you will surely get ticked off when someone cuts you off, even if it is God.”

“I often find that getting head issues out of the way first makes the heart stuff easier to work on later.”

“Tony stood up and began pacing the room. “Jack,” heconfessed, “my life that I defined as a success is actually a totalshambles, and yet you’re suggesting that underneath it all, thereis an unimaginable beauty? Are you telling me that I matter?That even though I am this ugly, ordinary-looking root, that I wasdesigned and intended to express a unique and extraordinaryflower? That’s what you are telling me… right?”Jack nodded, again removing his pipe for a puff.“And I assume,” Tony continued, “this is true about everyhuman being, each person born—”“Conceived!” interrupted Jack.“Each person ‘conceived’ on the planet, each one living inlife-before, each one is a root in which a flower is waiting?Right?”Again Jack nodded”

“When we three spoke ourselves into human existences the Son of God, we became fully human. We also chose to embrace all the limitation that this entailed. Even though we have always been present in this created universe, we now became flesh and blood. It would be like this bird (a jay), whose nature it is to fly, choosing to only walk and remain grounded. He doesn't stop being a bird, but it does alter his experience of life significantly.”

“From the first day we hid the woman within the man, so that at the right time we could remove her from within him. We didn't create man to live alone; she was purposed from the beginning. By taking her out of him, he birthed her in a sense. We created a circle of relationship, like our own, but for humans. She, out of him, and now all the males, including me, birthed through her, and all originating, or birthed, from God.”
